“ I am an artist and a jewlery design teacher at the INSTITUT de BIJOUTERIE de SAUMUR in France. During the COVID-19, when everyone is quarantine and staying under uneasy conditions, everything had to be readjusted: with no tools, no workshop ,no soldering and no metals,I had to find a solution that will make it challenging for my students to continue working….I hope as a teacher and an artiste that with those projects and zoom sessions, my students will be inspired and find a new meaning of creation. I am sure that they will express their unique voices as artists who can influence and make a change, especially now.”

Workshop à l’école Boulle de Paris

Un workshop conduit en duo, par l’artiste bijoutière Vered Babai et moi-même durant une semaine et auprès de 30 élèves de BMA 2 de l’école Boulle de Paris.

Ce projet est inscrit dans un cycle d’événements dans le cadre de la Saison France Israël 2018, avec la collaboration étroite de la Mairie de Paris, l’Institut français et l’état d’Israël, conçu et réalisé par le conservateur Mr Jean-Yves Le Mignot.

Les bijoux créés ont participé à l’exposition « Bijoux à deux voix » qui s’est tenue du 9 au 30 novembre 2018 à l’INMA (Institut National des Métiers d’art) à Paris, aux côtés des bijoux réalisés sur le même thème par les élèves de la Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (Jérusalem), du Shenkar College of Engineering and Design (Ramat Gan) et de l’Institut de Bijouterie de Saumur.
